March 8: Steph Curry, the standout player for the Warriors, is anticipated to go through testing to find out the severity of the injury to his right ankle that kept him out of Thursday’s 125-122 loss over the Chicago Bulls.

With 3:51 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Golden State guard left the game. Curry injured his ankle after planting his right foot during an attempt to drive to the lane. He proceeded to the bench and hesitated for a moment before making his way to the dressing room.

Curry was with the training staff following the game, according to coach Steve Kerr, and he had his whole foot in an ice bucket. Curry’s situation is anticipated to be updated on Saturday when Golden State plays the San Antonio Spurs.
“It’s unfortunate, but injuries happen to everyone,” remarked forward Draymond Green. “You’ve just got to do the best you can in dealing with it.”
As of Friday, Golden State (33-29) occupied the ninth position in the Western Conference.

On Thursday, Curry failed to score in the fourth quarter. After finishing with 15 points, Chris Paul took his place. Andrew Wiggins, a forward, returned to Golden State earlier in the week after a prolonged leave due to personal matters.
Curry, who will turn 36 next week, has made 59 starts this season and averages 26.9 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.4 rebounds. The two-time MVP and ten-time All-Star leads the NBA with 290 made 3-pointers while shooting 40.7 percent from outside the arc.
