Cole Palmer, a midfielder for Chelsea, expressed his confidence that Mauricio Pochettino’s “project” will succeed, but he also noted that supporters may need to wait a few seasons for the club to benefit from his efforts.
This season, Pochettino’s pricey team has struggled for consistency, and following their previous game’s 2-2 draw against Brentford, some fans have turned against the manager and the team’s American owners.
But Palmer made the Stamford Bridge supporters happy on Monday, helping them win 3-2 over Newcastle United in the Premier League by setting up one goal and scoring another.

Palmer said, “There is so much talent at Chelsea,” opens new tab on the club’s website. “The way that the manager works with us on the pitch, and the things he does with us, it’s only going to get better.
“We’re still in the FA Cup; hopefully we’ll win on Sunday (against Leicester City).” “If not next season, the season after.
It’s a project, everyone is young and striving to play well so you will see it sooner or later.” We’ll try to go up the table, take each league match as it comes, and you’ll never know where we end up.”
Chelsea has played one fewer game and now sits in 11th place in the league with 39 points, three points behind Brighton & Hove Albion in eighth place.
